SUMMER
I am writing this about four hours before the 2020 summer solstice. The sky is clear, the temperature is in the high 20s, the humidity is low, and a light breeze is blowing from the west. Sometimes, and this is one of those times, our dreams and physical reality are in perfect synch. Paradise! Because this happens now and then, we know it is always possible. And so we hope! Dreaming of summer is almost as important for Canadians as summer itself. So, here are some documentary images and some impressions of paradisiacal moments of previous summers at Shamper’s Bluff, pictures that help to carry me through the long, dark, frigid months of the Canadian winter. |
